Absolutely great tour and well worth going on whether you are just visiting or are an expat living in Toulouse. Jessica was really knowledgeable and explained lots of helpful little tricks to help you buy the best bread and cheese. Other than that, expect to eat lots of tasty food and drink some lovely wine

Jessica’s tour of the Marché Victor Hugo is exceptional and well worth your time and money. Not only is the day full of delicious food, but Jessica has done so much to make what can sometimes be an intimidating environment for those new to French cuisine or who don’t speak French into a space for learning and discovery; she is organized, accommodating, and you can see how much she’s become part of the local community by how she interacts with the vendors in the market. We left feeling like we genuinely had new knowledge about what to look for when choosing bread and cheese and wine, which far exceeded our expectations. If you’re in Toulouse, even for only a day or two, this is a great way to learn a bit about the city and its history as well as Southwest France and its unique cuisine.

We took two tours: the Victor Hugo Market Tour and the Chocolate and Pastry Tour. Both were so informative and delightful, yet different from the other. I highly recommend them both, especially for Non-French speakers. We would have missed out on so much had we tried to experience the Market; and the wonderful world of French chocolate and Pastry on our own.
Be sure to put this on your agenda when you visit the lovely city of Toulouse!

Well done Jessica for creating such a well researched tour from scratch. We learned lots, including how to spot a good baguette and the many delicious things you can do with duck. The morning ended with a picnic lunch in the market where we sampled goodies collected on the tour, and was followed up with an email full of useful information about eating in Toulouse.

Fantastically thorough and of course incredibly yummy!
We live close to Toulouse and visit the market at Victor Hugo often. Jessica's tour has really opened our eyes to more detail and increased our knowledge and understanding of the importance of "terroir".
Her level of knowledge and the relationships she has built with the producers and sellers and is clear to see (and hear!) We really felt like we were getting the best of the market. We sampled some fantastic produce, particularly the cheese!
It's given us a massive shopping list for the future, even down to knowing what questions to ask when looking to try different things. Even after the tour , the amount of information Jessica emailed to us was fantastic.
We can't recommend Jessica and her tours enough. We'll be booking the chocolate and pastry tour soon!
